Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal data Macwaste Ltd ("MacWaste", "we", "us") collects through this website and what we do with it.
Who We Are
Macwaste Ltd, Unit 6 Milltown Industrial Estate, Warrenpoint, BT34 3FN, Northern Ireland. You can contact us about anything in this policy at office@macwaste.com or 028 4177 3100.
What Personal Data We Collect
We only collect personal data that you choose to give us directly, through the forms on this site:
- Contact / enquiry form: your name, company (if given), phone number, email address, the service you're enquiring about, and your message.
- Careers application form: your name, email address, phone number, the role you're applying for, your covering message, and your CV if you choose to upload one.
We don't use tracking cookies or collect any personal data just from browsing the site.
How We Use It
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry and provide a quote or information about our services
- Assess job applications and get in touch about vacancies
- Keep a record of correspondence in case we need to refer back to it
We do not sell, rent or use your data for marketing you haven't asked for.
Who We Share It With
We use a small number of third-party service providers to run this website and handle the data above. They only process it on our instructions, to provide their service to us:
- Resend — delivers the emails generated by our contact and careers forms.
- Google Cloud Platform — hosts the backend service that processes form submissions.
- Vercel — hosts this website, and provides anonymous, cookie-free visitor analytics (page views only — no personal data).
We don't share your data with anyone else, other than where we're required to by law.
How Long We Keep It
General enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. Job applications and CVs are kept while we're considering the role you applied for, and for a limited period afterwards in case a suitable vacancy comes up — after which they're deleted. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, just email us and we'll action it.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to or restrict how we use your data
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've handled your data incorrectly
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at office@macwaste.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
This policy is intended as a clear, plain-English summary of our data practices. If you have specific legal requirements or concerns, we'd recommend having it reviewed by a qualified advisor.
