MacWaste collects waste oil from garages, vehicle workshops, dealerships and industrial sites across Northern Ireland. What makes our service stand out: collected waste oil is fully recycled back to base oil — a genuine closed-loop outcome, not just disposal.
Hazardous Waste Classification
Waste oil from engines, gearboxes and hydraulic systems is classified as hazardous waste and can't be disposed of through general waste routes — it must be collected by a licensed hazardous waste carrier.
How Your Waste Oil Is Recycled
Collection
We collect waste oil directly from your garage, workshop or site, on a schedule that suits you.
Full Recycling
Unlike operators who simply dispose of collected oil, we take it through a full recycling process.
Base Oil Recovery
Base oil is recovered and can be used again — a real circular economy outcome, not just disposal.
Types of Oil We Recycle
We have the facility to recycle a wide range of used lube oils. Some of the oils we collect:
Collection to Suit You
We collect from independent garages, franchised dealerships, car washes, vehicle fleet operators, haulage companies, agricultural operators and industrial sites — whatever your volume, from a single small workshop to a high-throughput site. Collection frequency is set to match how quickly you generate waste oil, so you're never left storing more than you need to.
Full Duty-of-Care Documentation
Waste oil collection is a charged service. We provide competitive rates and full duty-of-care documentation with every collection — essential for businesses demonstrating responsible waste management to regulators or customers.
Combined with Other Services
Waste oil collection works best as part of our full site waste package alongside our garage waste services and waste fuel services — one contractor, one set of paperwork, maximum convenience.
