Pipeline Cleaning

MacWaste cleans industrial pipelines and process pipework across the UK and Ireland using high-pressure jetting and vacuum recovery — clearing blockages, removing scale and product build-up, and restoring flow in utility, manufacturing and site drainage systems.

High-Pressure Jetting

Industrial-grade water jetting breaks down fat, scale, silt, sludge and hardened product deposits inside pipework, with the arisings recovered by vacuum tanker rather than flushed downstream.

Blockage Clearance & Descaling

We clear partial and full blockages in process lines, transfer pipework, culverts and site drainage, and can descale pipe runs that have lost capacity over years of use.

Pipeline Pigging

For longer pipe runs, we use pipeline pigging — a pig is launched into the line and driven through the pipe, scraping the full internal diameter of the pipe as it travels. It's an effective way to clear scale, sediment and product residue along the entire length of a pipeline in one pass, rather than relying on jetting alone from an access point.

MacWaste has extensive, hands-on experience with pipeline pigging and is highly skilled in this specialist area of work, having successfully carried out pigging operations on Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) pipelines — one of the most demanding applications given the viscosity of the product and the conditions involved.

Surveyed & Documented

Cleaning can be paired with a CCTV survey to confirm condition before and after, and all recovered waste is removed to our licensed facilities with full documentation.

Pipeline cleaning pairs naturally with a CCTV drain survey to confirm the result, and on tank farms and process sites we often combine it with bund cleaning in the same visit.
